Gerard Glynn Apples - Oil on Canvas Gerard (Gerry) Glynn was born in Dublin and formed an early interest in drawing, painting and sculpture. Apart from a brief period in the National College of Art and Design, he is completely self-taught. He then went on to develop his own distinctive style in oil painting. He was at first influenced by classic sculpture, the surrealists and then, impressionsism. Gerry has experience in book illustration and worked in film animation as a background designer and painter for many years. He has exhibited works at the RHA and Oireachtas exhibitions and his work has been auctioned in Mullins Art Auctions, Laurel Park, Bray, Co.
