Hermann Wagner Tea Party - Acrylic on Paper Born in 1942 in the German city of Furth, Hermann Wagner developed a keen interest in art at an early age. Later he studied art in 1961, attending the Albert Durer Art college in Nuremberg for four years. It was here that he began to develop his expressionistic style. He interprets every day objects in his own way and fuels them with an astonishing contemporary feel, playing with both light and perspective in many of his pieces.
Smitten with the desire to travel, Wagner visited Ireland in 1965 with a painter friend and fell in love with it. He now spends many months each year travelling around the Irish countryside in his mobile studio, enjoying the opportunity to paint en plein air.
Wagner's first Irish solo exhibition was in 1966 at St. Stephen's Green No.7 Gallery and he has since had many exhibitions in both Europe and Ireland. 2 products in this category, displaying products 1 to 2.
